Antique French Plumetis-Express No.5 - Embroidery Monogram letter with cotton thread

A sweet 1920's unused monogram "E" from the Plumetis-Express range, size No. 5 and including its cotton thread. This piece was originally designed for personalizing fine linens and remains attached to its original tan paper backing.

What makes this specific piece rare is the inclusion of the original matching skein of cotton thread, provided for the seamstress to perfectly match her stitches when attaching the monogram.

2. Paper Backing: 4" x 4 3/4" (10.3 x 12.3cm)

Condition:

Excellent antique condition. The satin stitching is crisp and bright white. The paper backing shows light age-related toning and a soft patina, which confirms its provenance and age.
